Aurangabad/UNI: Maharashtra State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the state government has set a target of vaccinating three lakh people every day by increasing the rate of vaccination, officials said here on Tuesday.

Informing to media last evening ,Tope said that, vaccination is expected to be completed in the next three months.

Vaccination facilities will also be provided at sub-centers in rural areas, he said.

He also said that vaccination would be allowed if demanded by a private hospital also.

The daily increase in the number of corona virus cases in cities like Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur are a worrying sign. Therefore, all local administrations have been ordered to strictly enforce the SOPs regarding COVID, Tope said.

He further said, if these cases remain between 25 and 30 thousand for a long time, the situation will indeed become extremely alarming. We have to go through this in a very strict manner.

Appealing to the public Mr Tope said, "Some cities will have to go for lockdown, therefore, social distancing must be followed if you want to avoid another lockdown.
