COVID-19: India adds 16,505 new cases, 214 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded 16,505 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as Ministry of Health data released on Monday.

The addition of new cases took the total number of COVID-19 infected people in the country so far to 1,03,40,470.

India also recorded 214 deaths in the country in the past 24 hours.

The death toll due to the infection now stands at 149649.

So far, 9946867 people have been discharged from hospital.

There are 243953 active cases in the country at present.
