Centre's face of contagion briefing Lav Agarwal tests positive for COVID-19

New Delhi/IBNS: Senior government bureaucrat Lav Agarwal, who was the face of the union health ministry's coronavirus briefings on television, has tested positive for the contagion, the Joint Secretary himself tweeted on Friday.

In a tweet, Agarwal informed that he has tested positive for the virus and opted for home isolation.

He requested all who came in contact with him to undergo self-monitoring.

"Dear All,Just to inform that I have tested positive for Covid 19 and initiating home isolation as per guidelines. Requesting all my friends, colleagues for self monitoring. Contact tracing will be done by Health Team. Hoping to see everyone soon," Agarwal said in a tweet.

Agarwal is the latest of several high ranking officials getting infected with the virus in the line of duty.
