Bihar: Seven days lockdown in Patna again from July 10

Patna/UNI: In view of the soaring graph of coronavirus positive cases in Patna, the administration today decided to enforce lockdown again from July 10 till 16 in Patna.

The District Magistrate Kumar Ravi held an important meeting here with the concerned authorities and discussed the situation arising out of the rising cases of coronavirus infection in Patna and decided for another lockdown under the Bihar Epidemic Disease covid-19 Regulation 2020.

Mr Ravi, in an official release said that the essential services, including Hospital, pharmaceuticals, ration shops, groceries, fruits, vegetables, dairy, Milk booths, petrol pump, LPG, Petroleum and some others would continue to function.

The district magistrate said that the offices of Central Government as well as state and union territory except defence, security, emergency services and others should work with minimum number of employees.

The other offices have been instructed to work from home during the period of 7 days of lockdown commencing from July 10.

The DM said that all places of worships will remain closed for public and no religious congregations have been permitted during the period.

According to the release, all other activities outside the containment zones shall be regulated as per the guidelines of unlock 2.
