Bangladesh: 33 more people die due to COVID-19

Dhaka: The highly infectious COVID-19 virus has claimed 33 more lives in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

Moreover,   2,654 people were newly diagnosed with COVID-19 during the same period of time.

Additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Nasima Sultana disclosed this while presenting a regular health bulletin on coronavirus situation on Wednesday, reports Prothom Alo.

Bangladesh recorded its first COVID-19 related death on Mar 18.

The first case in the country was reported on Mar 8.
