Assam: 'Laden' finally captured

Guwahati/IBNS: Osama Bin Laden may have been killed by the US Navy SEALs eight years back, but his name continued to terrorise in some parts of Assam and finally Laden of the northeast state has been captured.

Laden in Assam – is name of a wild elephant, who terrorised in Assam’s Goalpara district since the past couple of months and killed several people including five within 72 hours.

Finally, Laden has been captured and taken into custody.

The wild elephant was captured by a team led by Assam MLA Padma Hazarika on Monday at Rongjuli forest area in Goalpara district.

The Assam forest department had launched the operation on Saturday by engaging six domestic elephants.

The team had finally captured the wild pachyderm at Rongjuli forest area.

According to the reports, the captured wild elephant had terrorised in several areas of Goalpara district and destroyed croplands while killing several human beings.
