Algeria reports 6th death case of COVID-19 as confirmed cases rise to 72

Algiers/Xinhua/UNI: Algeria's Health Ministry on Wednesday announced the sixth death due to thecoronavirus(COVID-19) as the number of confirmed cases in the country rose to 72, state-run ENTV reported.

Facing the epidemic outbreak, the government has taken several precautionary measures including asking people to stay at home and closing all border crossing points with neighboring nations.

Besides, the government has suspended all air and sea voyages, except for cases of medical and food stuffs, and shut down crowded places such as schools, universities, sport arenas, and mosques.
