1,632 new COVID-19 infections detected in Qatar, 32,604 in total

Doha/Xinhua/UNI:  Qatar's health ministry on Sunday announced 1,632 new infections of COVID-19, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the Gulf state to 32,604.

"And 582 more cases recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,370, while the fatalities remain at 15," the official Qatar News Agency reported, quoting a ministry statement.

Most of the new cases are of expatriate workers who have been under quarantine after they were found to have contact with confirmed cases.

A total of 157,570 persons have undergone lab tests for COVID-19 so far.
