India registers sharp fall in new COVID-19 cases, 482 deaths recorded

New Delhi: India, the country which has been fighting COVID-19 outbreak since early this year, recorded a sharp fall in cases as 31,118 new instances were registered in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.

The total number of cases in the country now stands at 94,62,810.

India, however, recorded 482 deaths due to the highly infectious virus in the past 24 hours.

There are 435603 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 8889585 cases have been discharged.
