6.2 earthquake hits areas close to Taiwan Strait
Beijing, Nov 26 (IBNS): A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit areas close to the Taiwan Strait, officials said.
As per the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), the earthquake hit the area at around 7:57 a.m.
The epicenter was monitored at 23.28 degrees north latitude and 118.60 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 20 km, the CENC said in a statement as reported by Xinhua news agency of China.
No casualty has been reported so far.
