Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan assured all types of cooperation to save wildlife and Mangrove forest of Sunderban

Kolkata, Apr 10 (IBNS): Union Minister of Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Harsh Vardhan have assured all types of cooperation to save wildlife and Mangrove forest of Sunderban. 

On the last leg of his Sunderban visit, Dr Vardhan said this yesterday at Sudhanyakhali forest area.

Presently, at least 84 types of Mangroves are available in Sunderban, among these 34 types are available at Sudhanyakhali area, which attract large number of tourists every year.

Vardhan talked to Forest department officials and enquired about the ongoing activities of conservation of wildlife and protection of mangrove.

He assured that central Government is ready to assist all developmental activities in Sunderban, if Projects are sent to his ministry. 

Harsh Vardhan also visited Tiger Rescue Centre at Jharkhali forest area where two tigers are undergoing treatment at present.
