New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged people to save every drop of water, on the occasion of World Water Day.

The Prime Minister, who has hailed India's population for its recent overall development, said that water can be preserved if the population make up their mind and work towards it.

"On #WorldWaterDay lets pledge to save every drop of water. When Jan Shakti has made up their mind, we can successfully preserve Jal Shakti," his tweet read.

"This year, @UN has chosen a valid theme- wastewater. It will help further awareness on water recycling & why it is essential for our planet," a subsequent tweet added.
