Cyclonic storm formation likely over south Bay of Bengal
Bhubaneswar/UNI: A low-pressure area formed over the central parts of South Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a deep depression and further into a cyclonic storm, MET sources here on Thursday said.
The low pressure has moved east- northeastwards and lay centred over the southeast Bay of Bengal and east equatorial Indian Ocean.
It is likely to intensify into a deep depression on Mar 20 and further into a cyclonic storm on Mar 21 to move nearly northwards and reach near Bangladesh- north Myanmar coast on Mar 22.
As per the latest meteorological analysis, the current system has no direct impact on the Odisha region.
