WB: Tata Power Haldia power plant organises Teacher Training Program at Haldia

The program was held at the Khanjanchak Primary school and saw a participation of 32 teachers, two from each of 16 schools of the Haldia block.

The objective of this program was to benefit 2400 students through fun and modern techniques such as Teaching/Learning Method and improve the teaching quality to ensure learning outcome, awareness on childhood problem and remedial action.

The program was scheduled in divided in two parts, first session was on Teaching/Learning Method in English.  The second session was on nutrition which aimed at helping them to improve the nutrition level of students in order to mitigate the issue of malnourishment amongst them.

Talking about the initiative, Abhijit Ain Das, Chief Haldia Station, said, “We at Tata Power believe children are the future torchbearers of our country. Through such training programmes, the Haldia division aims to improve the quality of education and learning outcome for children by involving all stakeholders. We believe that right teaching methods facilitates quick and easy learning and helps children to understand the concept rather than learning by conventional methods. We are imparting training to school teachers on various training techniques and will continue to do so in order to make school learning interesting and internalise lessons easily. We are delighted that the training program was widely appreciated by all the teachers and would like to thank the Banipur Sahyog NGO and the Khanjanchak Primary school for making this initiative a success."
