Lok Sabha passes Income Tax amendment bill

New Delhi, Nov 29 (IBNS): The Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the tax amendment bill.

The bill was passed amid protests and slogan shouting.

The bill aims to tax money deposited in banks following the banning of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes on Nov 8.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made the announcement on Nov 8.
