Lok Sabha passes GST Bill
New Delhi, May 6 (IBNS) The Lok Sabha on Wednesday approved the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Bill even as the Congress staged a walk out from the House over the issue.
With the NDA being a minority in the Rajya Sabha, the bill is likely to be take up for consideration in the House on Thursday.
The GST is being sought to be implemented as a new indirect tax regime which will subsume various levies including sales, excise and service taxes from April,2016.
