Key Indian benchmark indices close higher on Thursday

Mumbai, May 31 (IBNS): Key Indian benchmark indices closed higher on Thursday, the day of expiry of May futures & options contracts, with BSE Sensex up 416.27 points at 35,322.38 and NSE Nifty up 121.80 points at 10,736.20.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Thursday were Adani Ports, HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tech Mahindra, HUL and M&M while Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Hindalco, Hero Motocorp, Maruti Suzuki, Dr Reddy's Labs and Titan Company were some of the key stocks to report a loss.

In a separate news, MSCI has put emerging markets India and Brazil on a notice for limiting access to investors, according to media reports.

This is likely to have an impact on foreign flows to India, Moneycontrol quoting experts reported.

Turkey and South Korea have also been put on this list, reports said.
