Indian Rupee record low at 82.32 against USD

Mumbai: The Rupee on Friday plunged 44 paise, breaching 82 level to finish at 82.32 a record low owing to rising oil prices, even rate hike of and of US Federal Reserve too impact on the same, dealer of Foreign Exchange said.

The domestic unit slumped 40 paise at 82.28 in early trade. During the day it further lost and settled at 82.32, tumbling down 44 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee remained under pressure owing to strong Dollar against other world currencies amid negative opening in stock market.

The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 82.24 and 82.38 respectively.
