Indian Market: Sensex up over 300 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday advanced 369 pts to 59,156 in opening session as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose by 100 pts at 17,611.75.

The sensex registered days high and low at 59,201.23 and 59,069.90 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,639.50 and 17,600.05.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.66 pc and Small Cap pc 1.01 pc.

In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined.

The gainers were Powergrid by 2.91 pc to Rs 208.50, Axis Bank by 2.61 pc to Rs 705.60, Tech Mahindra by 1.90 pc to Rs 1633.10, NTPC by 1.39 pc to Rs 127.90 and Titan by 1.38 pc to Rs 2372.80.

The losers were Bajaj Finance by 1.65 pc to Rs 7328, Bajaj Finserv by 0.51 pc to Rs 17,633.20, Nestle India by 0.33 pc to Rs 19,210 and Reliance Industries by 0.23 pc to Rs 2455.20.
