Indian Market: Sensex plunges 709.17 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday dropped 709.17 points to settle at 55,776.85 due to weak global cues.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) tumbled down 208.30 points at 16,663.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 56,720.60 and 55,418.95 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 16,927.75 and 16,555.00 respectively.
