Indian benchmark indices close higher on Friday

Mumbai, Nov 3 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Friday, largely riding on global cues and a rally in banking stocks, according to media reports.

The BSE Sensex was up 112.34 points at 33,685.56 while the NSE Nifty was up 28.70 points at 10,452.50, closing above 10,450 level for first time.

Top gainers included SBI, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, BHEL, Tata Motors (D), ONGC and L&T while Sun Pharma, Power Grid Corp, BPCL, Coal India, Gail, Hero Motocorp, Lupin and Adani Ports declined.
