Mumbai: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, reported a 14% YoY increase in net profit, reaching Rs 1,204 crore in Q2 FY25, driven by higher sales volumes, media reports said.

This profit surpasses last year’s Q2 net profit of Rs 1,054 crore.

Revenue grew by 11% YoY to Rs 10,463 crore, compared to Rs 9,445 crore last year, beating analysts’ expectations of an 8% revenue rise, reported Moneycontrol.

The company’s EBITDA rose 14% YoY to Rs 1,516 crore, with an operating margin of 14.5%, marking a 40 bps improvement.

Hero sold 1.52 million units in Q2, up from 1.42 million in the same period last year, and achieved record sales of 1.6 million units during the festive season, supported by robust rural demand.

CEO Niranjan Gupta credited strong cash management for enhancing the company’s financial position and anticipates continued industry momentum due to favorable economic fundamentals and a strong monsoon.

Hero also showcased three new motorcycles—the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, and Karizma XMR 250—at EICMA 2024 and is planning new scooter launches, including both ICE and EV models, with three ICE scooters expected by March 2025.
