HDFC raises lending rates by 5 bps, EMIs to go up
Mumbai: Private sector lender HDFC on Sunday said it had raised its benchmark lending rate by 5 basis points.
The move will result in equated monthly installments or EMIs to rise for existing borrowers.
In a regulatory filing, the lender said, "HDFC increases its Retail Prime Lending Rate (RPLR) on Housing loans, on which its Adjustable Rate Home Loans (ARHL) are benchmarked, by 5 basis points, with effect from May 1, 2022."
Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) and few other lenders also revised the rates for its existing lenders.
