New Delhi, Mar 29 (IBNS): Four Goods and Services Tax bills that had been tabled in Lok Sabha by government on Tuesday, received approval of the lower house by voice voting following the debate and discussion, on Wednesday.

The four GST bills which includes Central GST, Integrated GST, Union Territory GST and The Compensation bills were passed in the Rajya Sabha, earlier in the day.

Though the money bill can easily be passed by the government because of the majority, Jaitley spoke in favour of achieving the consensus in the house.

"We want to get the consensus and not pass the bill by voting" he said.

The lower house was adjourned till Mar 30, 11 am.
