Extend financial support to youth: Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha to SBI Chairman

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Tuesday asked the Chairman of the State Bank of India, Dinesh Kumar Khara to extend financial handholding to the youth through various schemes and interventions.

 The LG said this in his meeting with the Chairman who had called on the former at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.

“Explore all possibilities to extend financial handholding to the youth through various schemes and interventions, besides taking initiatives under CSR,” the LG said to the Chairman.

Sinha observed that the banking sector plays a key role in socio-economic growth of any region and urged the chairman to continuously work with dedication in providing best financial services to the people of the UT.

The Chairman apprised the LG about the latest initiatives taken by the SBI in J&K for greater financial inclusion. He also discussed with the LG the various upcoming financial services to be extended to the citizens of the UT.
