Cognizant to cut at least 6000 jobs?

New Delhi, Mar 20 (IBNS): IT major Cognizant is likely to cut at least 6000 jobs, media reports said.

The layoffs are part of the routine annual reviews to weed out non-performers, a company spokesperson told NDTV.

The company has major operations in India.

"As part of our workforce management strategy, we conduct regular performance reviews to ensure we have the right employee skill sets necessary to meet client needs and achieve our business goals. This process results in changes, including some employees transitioning out of the company. Any actions as the result of this process are performance-based and generally consistent with those we've made in previous years," the spokesperson of the company told NDTV.
