Auto fuel prices touch new highs after fresh hike

New Delhi/IBNS: The state-run fuel retailers on Sunday hiked the petrol and diesel prices by up to 29 paise and 28 paise, respectively.

With fresh increase in prices, petrol will cost Rs 97.22 per litre and diesel will be available at Rs 87.97 per litre in Delhi

This is the 27th hike in fuel prices since May 4 last, making petrol and diesel dearer by Rs 6.82 a litre and Rs 7.24 a litre, respectively

Post the hike, petrol prices will stand at rupees 103.36 while diesel will be at Rs 95.4 a litre in Mumbai.

In Kolkata, the two auto fuels will cost--petrol Rs 97.12 per litre and diesel Rs 90.82 per litre.

In Hyderabad, people will have to pay rupees 101.04 for a litre of petrol and Rs 95.89 for one litre of diesel.

In Chennai, too, petrol price will be over rupees hundred at Rs 100.4 7 per litre and Rs 93.26 for a litre of diesel.

According to the new price, in Bengaluru, petrol will cost 100.47 per litre and diesel will cost Rs 93.26.
