After cut in excise duty, prices of petrol, diesel fall from today

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): Following the cut in the excise duty, the prices of the petrol and diesel have fallen sharply from Wednesday.

According to the Indian Oil website, the price of non-branded petrol in Delhi is slashed by Rs. 2.5/litre. In other metro cities like Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai, the prices have been slashed by Rs. 2.46, 2.48 and 2.63 per litres respectively.

The new prices of the petrol are 68.38, 71.16, 77.51 and 70.85 in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai respectively.

The prices of diesel have been slashed in Delhi by Rs. 2.25/litre, in Kolkata by Rs. 2.25/litre, in Mumbai by Rs. 2.39/litre and Chennai by Rs. 2.41/litre.

The revised prices of the diesel in Delhi Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are now Rs. 56.89, 59.55, 60.43 and 59.89 per litres respectively.

The new prices have been applied from 6 a.m. from Wednesday.
