
Several varieties of cauliflower, chillies cultivated in Assam
Tezpur: Locals have cultivated a large variety of vegetables at an agricultural facility in the Pabhoi region in Biswanath of Assam.
A large number of vegetables including 140 varieties of tomatoes, 80 varieties of chillies and 52 varieties of cabbages, broccoli and cauliflowers, were successfully cultivated in the farms of Pabhoi Greens in Biswanath. The facility itself spreads over a huge plot of land with multiple fisheries within it, reports The Sentinel.
A huge number of tomatoes varying in shapes and sizes as well as flavours and textures were produced this season. The weights of these tomatoes range from 250 grams to 5 grams while colours vary from bring red to green and yellow.
Cabbages, cauliflowers and broccoli of 52 varieties have also been produced on the farm. Along with a total of 80 varieties of chillies of different shapes, sizes, flavours and heat.
The experimental cultivation of these crops has been done by the agri-based youth entrepreneur Neelam Dutta in Pabhoi Greens. Apart from the experimental cultivation of these crops, he is also actively participating in the cultivation of rice and with the rearing of fish.
