Bentley joins Škoda Auto Volkswagen India; new entity to steer luxury push

Mumbai: Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has officially added British ultra-luxury marque Bentley to its portfolio, becoming the sixth brand under its umbrella. Effective 01 July 2025, SAVWIPL will exclusively import, distribute, and service Bentley vehicles across India, the company announced on Monday.

The operations will be managed under a newly created entity, Bentley India, which will oversee the brand’s retail network, marketing, sales, and after-sales strategy.

The move further cements SAVWIPL’s presence in India’s growing luxury car segment.

Abbey Thomas has been appointed as Brand Director of Bentley India, and will spearhead the luxury brand’s operations in the country.

Bentley India plans to launch three new dealerships across major metros — beginning with Mumbai and Bengaluru, followed by New Delhi — aimed at catering to ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNI) seeking a blend of performance, luxury, and craftsmanship.

Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of SAVWIPL, said, “Welcoming Bentley into the SAVWIPL family is a proud milestone that completes our portfolio — from the precision of German engineering to the timeless elegance and unmatched performance of British craftsmanship. India’s appetite for uncompromising luxury is growing rapidly.”

Highlighting Abbey’s leadership, Arora added, “Abbey’s deep understanding of the Indian market makes him the ideal leader to steer Bentley India toward new milestones.”

Jan Bures, Executive Director – Sales, Marketing and Digital, SAVWIPL, echoed the sentiment: “It’s a proud moment for us in India to welcome Bentley into the SAVWIPL family. The ever-growing UHNI segment in India will benefit from this new association, and we, along with our new dealer partners, will ensure the best of luxury and performance for our customers.”

Bentley’s renewed focus on Indian market

Though Bentley has been present in India for over 20 years, its integration into SAVWIPL’s structure signals a renewed commitment to the market.

The company says the move ensures world-class service standards and sharper market focus as Bentley India prepares for its next chapter.

With a strong dealer network and dedicated management, Bentley aims to meet the rising demand for high-end vehicles in India’s premium automobile segment.
