SOTC Travel expands presence in Tamil Nadu with new franchise outlet in Trichy

Trichy/IBNS: SOTC Travel, an omnichannel travel and tourism company, recently inaugurated its new franchise outlet at Thillai Nagar.

Having a strategic focus to tap into Trichy’s high potential market and expand the company’s footprint in Tamil Nadu, the enterprise's new outlet is located at the heart of the city and also caters to the nearby city of Thanjavur.

Trichy features an upcoming source market for SOTC Travel in Tamil Nadu and caters to the growing demand from multigenerational families, millennial, couples, Gen S and business owners, the official company release said.

Customers are once again planning their long awaited holidays for the upcoming summer season and are seeking guidance and reassurance of holiday experts to navigate through the dynamic changes in travel and health protocols, it said.

Customers are also displaying growing interest for group holidays, eclectic stays, experiential holidays, domestic cruises and biking trips. Catering to its vegetarian customers, the Company has also introduced dedicated vegetarian tours to select destinations in India, SOTC Travel's internal survey said.

SOTC Travel’s expert holiday planners will provide the much needed assistance to customers and help plan the perfect holiday, the step-down subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings said.

Long haul destinations driving demand from Trichy include Switzerland, France, Italy and Austria; United Kingdom, USA (for visa holding customers), Australia, Mauritius, Turkey and Egypt.

The short haul favourites include Maldives, Dubai - Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Thailand and Nepal. Domestic summer favourite locales are Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the North East – the Seven Sisters and Sikkim.

SOTC Travel’s new outlet offers end-to-end travel solutions which includes international & domestic holidays (Group tours, personalised holidays, cruises, etc.), and value Added services such as travel insurance and visa services.

President & Country Head - Holidays, SOTC Travel Daniel D’souza said, “Trichy is strongly emerging as a viable source market for SOTC. Tamil Nadu contributes 30 percent to our overall SOTC holiday business and customers from Trichy have displayed over 2x growth in demand since the pandemic."
