Ashok Leyland September 2021 total sale moves up by 14 per cent to 9533 units

Mumbai/UNI: Commercial vehicle major, Ashok Leyland reported 14 per cent increase in total vehicles sales for the month of September with sales of 9,533 units as compared with 8,332 units sold in the same month last year, the company said on Friday.

Total domestic sale for September 2021 rose by 12 per cent to 8787 units as compared with 7835 units sold in the same month last year.

The company had sold 4529 units in the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles segment (M&HCV) in September, registering a growth of 39 per cent as against 3268 units in the same segment in the same month last year.

The company had sold 4258 units in the Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) segment in September, recording a rise of 7 per cent as against 4567 units in the same segment in the same month last year, the company said in a filing with BSE.

The Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) sales in domestic and exports were up by 39 per cent at 5060 units last month, as compared to 3630 units in the year-ago month, it added.

Light commercial vehicle sales last month stood at 4473 units as compared to 4702 units in March 2019, up by 5 per cent, the company said.
