At least one policeman died and two others were hurt as suspected terrorists targeted them in Pakistan's Peshawar city on Monday.

Constable Yar Muhammad suffered critical injuries along with two other policemen when unidentified armed men attacked their van, reports Geo News.

Muhammad later succumbed to his injuries.

No group has taken responsibility for the incident.

Pakistan's  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which is located close to the Afghanistan border, is witnessing a surge in terror attacks after the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ended its ceasefire with Islamabad.
