Pakistan government hikes petrol price by Rs 13.55 per litre ahead of national polls

Pakistan's caretaker government hiked petrol and diesel prices ahead of the national polls scheduled to be held in the upcoming days.

The hike is expected to burden the consumers of the country facing financial crisis for the past several months.

According to a notification by the finance ministry, the price of petrol increased by Rs 13.55 per litre and High Speed Diesel by Rs 2.75 per liter, reported ARY News.

Petrol will now be available at Rs272.89 per litre from February 1.
