Fire triggered by explosion of charger fan in Narayanganj leaves five hurt

Dhaka: At least five people were injured after a fire was caused by the explosion of a charger fan in Narayanganj's Fatullah region on Friday.

The injured people were identified as  Salam Mondol, 55, his wife Bulbuli Begum, 45, a garment worker, son Md Tutul, 25, daughter Sonia Akhter, 22, and granddaughter Mohejabeen, 7.

They are in critical condition at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka Tribune reported.

Md Tariqul Islam, resident surgeon of Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute confirmed the incident, adding that the condition of the five burnt people is critical.
