Bangladesh: Two friends die while recording TikTok video

Dhaka: Two friends died and another was hurt as they were allegedly recording a TikTok video on the Kakina-Mahipur road in Kaliganj upazila of Bangladesh on Saturday, media reports said.

Wazed Ali, 18, son of Sahidul Miah, and Shah Alam, 17, son of Azir Ali, were from Rudreshar village under Kakina union of Kaliganj, reports Dhaka Tribune.

The identity of the injured person was not known.

The police and locals told the newspaper the three friends – on a motorbike – were making TikTok videos on the Gangachara Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge around 11pm.

A Burimari-bound truck from Rangpur hit the bike from behind, leaving the trio critically injured,  Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Kaliganj police station told Dhaka Tribune.
