Kabul: Officials in the Ministry of Finance said on Saturday that the Taliban has taken control over six dry ports of Afghanistan and it has led to a decrease in revenue in the last two months, media reports said.

The ministry said that the Afghan government has no access to the ports taken by the Taliban and the revenue is being collected by the fighters, reports Khaama Press.

The Taliban with their ongoing offensive launched two months ago have toppled nearly two hundred districts and six key dry ports of the country, the Afghanistan-based news agency reported.

Afghanistan has reported an increase in violence ever since foreign forces started to leave the country.

The Taliban has captured several regions in the nation.
