Afghanistan: Logar attack kills 20 policemen

Kabul, Feb 17 (IBNS): A group of insurgents stormed the police headquarters in Afghanistan's central Logar province which killed at least 20 policemen on Tuesday, media reports said.

Nine others were injured in the attack.

Din Mohammad Darwesh, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News one of the attackers detonated his explosives at the entrance gate at around 1: 00 pm, while three others forced their way inside the facility.

Two of the attackers detonated their explosives inside the headquarters while the last one blew himself up inside the canteen, he told the news agency.
