Shahid Afridi's respectful gesture is winning hearts, video goes viral

St Moritz, Feb 10 (IBNS): A gesture by former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi at the end of an exhibition match in Switzerland is winning hearts in India.

Afridi was in Switzerland with several other former cricket stars like Virender Sehwag from India to play unique cricket on ice.

However, apart from the thrill of the match, an unique gesture by Afridi while taking selfie with a female fan from India has won hearts of people across social media.

In a video shared by Afridi on his Instagram page, the Pakistani cricketer could be seen directing fan, before taking the selfie, to open up the folded tricolor that she held in her hand.

This respectful gesture by Afridi is winning hearts.

One Twitter user Nibraz Ramzan tweeted: "Shahid Afridi wants Indian flag to be open while clicking a photo with fans in switzerland."

Another Netizen Siona Gogoi tweeted: "Shahid Afridi's message to all the pseudo nationalists."

Journalist Ammara Ahmad said: " Shahid Afridi asks his Indian fan to open her flag and then poses for this exquisite photo. The message is, leave politics aside, and let cricket be. Well-done @SAfridiOfficial!."
