Bengaluru, Jan 27 (IBNS): Ever since its inception, the IPL has been a calendar event for millions of cricket lovers. Laden with global superstars, the cash rich T20 tournament is as exciting as it gets.

What's as exciting as the matches itself is the auction. Like the matches, the IPL auction is filled with drama and (of course) heartbreaks!

Yet, for some (unknown) reason, the only man with 10,000 T20 runs has gone unsold at this year's auction.

Moments after the unthinkable happened, the flood gates on Twitter opened.
