US Open: Sania wins mixed-doubles title
New York, Sept 5 (IBNS) Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza and her mixed-doubles partner Bruno Soares defeated American Abigail Spears and Mexico's Santiago Gonzalez to clinch the US Open title here on Friday.
Sania and Soares defeated their opponents 6-1, 2-6 and 11-9.
After winning the first match, Sania and her partner lost the second. But the Indo-Brazilian pair hold on to their nerves to win the tie breaker and hence clinch the title.
