Kolkata set to host 5th Balrampur Chini East Zone Open Bridge Championship from August 14

Kolkata/IBNS: The fifth Balrampur Chini East Zone Open Bridge Championship 2026 will be held on August 14-16  at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre here.

Organised by West Bengal Bridge Association (WBBA), the three-day championship will bring together some of the region’s finest players, including Sagnik Roy and Sayantan Kushari, who recently won Gold in the U-31 Pairs event at the World Youth Transnational Championships in China, as well as seasoned veteran like Kamal Mukherjee and other noted players of the state.

With a Rs. six lakh prize fund, Bridge Federation Of India Category 2 ranking points and three days of high-level competition, the championship promises to be a major celebration of the mind game as Kolkata welcomes the best from the Eastern Zone and beyond.

WBBA Secretary Arnab Guha informed that the events in this popular championship would include Team, MP Pairs and IMP Pairs.
