New Delhi, Mar 15 (UNI): Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the life-ban on cricketer S. Sreesanth and asked the cricket board panel to reconsider the quantum of punishment.

A bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan and also comprising Justice K.M. Jospeh passed the order on Sreesanth's appeal.

The top court asked the BCCI to consider afresh the quantum of punishment to Sreesanth for his involvement in the spot fixing case.

The order of the top court is seen to be a big boost for Sreesanth, who is now 36 years old.
