Rohit Sharma smashes 100 no, India beat England by 7 wickets to clinch series

Bristol, July 8 (IBNS): Riding on Rohit Sharma's smashing 100 not out knock, India defeated England by seven wickets to win the T20 International series here on Sunday.

India won the series 2-1.

After England posted 198 runs for the loss of nine wickets, India reached 201 runs for the loss of three wickets.

Sharma hit 11 boundaries an five sixes in his knock.

Virat Kohli (43) and Hardik Pandya (33*) contributed with their willows and ensured the momentum flowed in the match that was set by Sharma.

Pandya was ruthless in his 14-ball 33 runs. He hit four boundaries and two sixes in his knock.

India won the T20 series and commenced their English tour with a victory.

Earlier, England were restricted 198 for nine in their 20 overs.

Pandya bowled brilliantly at the end and picked up four wickets.

Jason Roy topscored for England with his fighting knock of 67 runs.
