Rahul Dravid recovers from COVID-19, joins Indian team in Dubai

Mumbai/IBNS: Head coach Rahul Dravid has tested negative for COVID-19 and has joined the Indian team ahead of the Asia Cup clash against Pakistan on Sunday.

"Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested negative for COVID-19 and has joined the team in Dubai. Interim coach, Mr VVS Laxman who was present with the team in Mr. Dravid's absence, has returned to Bengaluru to oversee the India A programme," stated BCCI in an official statement.

VVS Laxman was named the interim head coach for the Asia Cup 2022 in the absence of Dravid, who tested positive for COVID-19 before the team’s departure to the UAE.

Earlier, Dravid didn't even travel with the team after testing positive.
