India's badminton icon PV Sindhu has tied her knot with Hyderabad-based entrepreneur Venkatta Datta Sai in an intimate ceremony.

The Telugu wedding ceremony was held on Sunday.

Sindhu shared some of the pictures from her wedding with four million followers on Instagram.

The badminton icon and her husband twined in cream coloured attire.

While Sindhu wore a cream-coloured saree, Venkatta matched her radiant charm with a sherwani of the same colour.

The couple threw a reception for their extended family and friends in Hyderabad on December 24, reports said.

Venkatta Datta Sai, an entrepreneur, is the executive director of Posidex Technologies.

One of the most successful athletes of India, Sindhu is the only player from the country to win a gold medal at the Badminton World Championships in 2019.

She is the second athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympics.
