Pakistan beat India 4-3, reach final

Bhubaneswar, Dec 13 (IBNS): In a thrilling encounter, Pakistan defeated arch-rival India 4-3 in the semifinal of the Hero Champions Trophy hockey tournament here on Saturday.

Pakistan will face Germany in the final of the tournament.

It was Muhammad Arslan Qadir (17th minute, 59th) who emerged as the hero for Pakistan as he netted two goals while the other two were scored by Muhammad Waqas (32nd) and Muhammad Irfan (44th).

Indian players Gurjinder Singh (12), Dharamvir Singh (38) and Nikkin Thimmaiah (44) scored three goals for the hosts.

Germany on the other hand defeated Australia 3-2 to reach the final of the tournament.
