Mumbai/IBNS: Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah has surpassed his national team skipper Virat Kohli to become the highest-paid player in 2020, media reports said.

Bumrah has earned Rs. 1.38 crore in the ongoing year.

Kohli slipped to the second spot as he has skipped the ongoing Test match against Australia for personal reasons.

Bumrah, the premier pace bowler of India, played four Tests, nine One Day International (ODI) matches and eight T20Is in 2020.

Kohli played three Tests, nine ODIs and 10 T20Is this year.

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja secured the third position in the table following the skipper.
