Hyderabad, Apr 30 (IBNS): Riding on David Warner's blistering 59-ball 126 runs knock, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 48 runs in an IPL clash here on Sunday.

After  posting 209 runs for the loss of three wickets, Sunrisers bowlers restricted KKR at 161 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20
overs.

Warner batted aggressively to entertain the fans. He smashed 10 boundaries and eight sixes in the knock.

Kane Williamson gave him good support at the other end by contributing 40 runs.

Chris Woakes picked up the wicket of Warner for KKR while the rest of the bowling attack struggled on Sunday.

Chasing the mammoth total, KKR struggled and never looked confident of chasing down 209 runs.

Robin Uthappa remained the only man who tried to give some challenge to the opponents with his 28-ball 53. He hit four boundaries and equal number of sixes in the knock.
