Colombo, Mar 13 (IBNS): An all-round performance by India helped the visitors beat Sri Lanka by six wickets in another group stage match of the T20 tournament here on Monday.

In a rain-hit match, Indian bowlers first restricted Sri Lanka at 152 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Kusal Mendis remained the top scorer for Sri Lanka with his 55 runs knock.

Shardul Thakur bowled wonderfully for India as he picked up four wickets for India.

He picked up wickets at crucial moments of the game to give some tough time to Sri Lankan batsmen.

Washington Sundar picked up two wickets while Unadkat, Chahal and Shankar picked up a wicket each.

Chasing 153 for victory, Indian batsmen failed to get the best start as Rohit Sharma (11) departed early with 13 runs on board.

Shikhar Dhawan contributed just 8 runs with his willow.

KL Rahul (18) and Suresh Raina (27) tried to stabilise the innings after initialjolts.

Rahul was dismissed unfortunately.

Hit wicket left him with no other way but to move back to the pavilion.

Manish Pandey (42*) and KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik (39*) showed signs of positive form and cruised India to victory.

Pandey hit three boundaries and a six in his knock.

India reached 153 runs for the loss of four wickets in 17.3 overs.

India now won two, out of their three matches they played, in the series so far.
